We were part of a photoshoot that CCL Weddings put together.
They were able to get the shoot featured on 100 Layer Cake.

We provided the desserts: Snickerdoodles with a Pumpkin Filling, Mini Pear Tarts, Green Tea Tiramisu Shooters, and Personal Apple Pies.
We also did the cake, which was just a simple two tiered cake with a gold metallic tier on the bottom topped off in a taller white tier.

Palmiers
Palmiers are one of my favorites things to eat.
The caramelization of sugar on the puff pastry dough creates a nice sugary, buttery taste.
The great thing about palmiers is that you can make it out of scraps of puff pastry dough.
I made these with the leftover dough from my pear puff pastry from before.
Again, I tried to do a little post production on my pictures with Lightroom.

Pear Puff Pastry with a Peach Glaze
I'm playing around with Lightroom which I recently purchased.
Here's a before and after shot.
This is my first time doing this and I'm still learning.

Taro Cupcakes
These are some pictures from a test bake I did today. A customer requested I try out taro cupcakes so after scouring all of LA for taro roots, I finally found some. Taro root requires a lot of work to prep it. They are so darn ugly in its natural form. However, like most things, it's the inside that counts.
People get taro and ube confused. So I made a cupcake that uses both.
This is a vanilla bean cupcake with a taro filling topped with ube buttercream.
It kind of tastes like a sweet mochi.

Cake Pop Tree & Wooden Backdrop
Here are some pictures of some custom pieces the Hammer worked on for a wedding in March.
We only provided the cake pop tree and the wooden backdrop sans the lace hoops.
Everything else was done by either the wedding coordinator, Catherine, or by other vendors hired by the bride and groom.

Happy Birthday Hugo
Here are some pictures of cupcakes I made for Hugo's birthday.
I just got the Cricut Cake Mini the other day and played around with it. My first impression of the Cricut is that it's very handy.
I especially like that you can queue up different designs and do other things while waiting for the Cricut to finish your work for you. The cuts aren't always perfect but what is?
As The Hammer always says, "It's the little imperfections that make the whole project perfect."
I made these flower decorations with fondant. Some will use gumpaste, which I'll have to try next time, but I went with fondant for these cupcakes. Also, fondant generally tastes better than gumpaste.

Mini Cookie Sandwiches
Cookies are, by far, my favorite baked goods. But sometimes just a cookie seems too plain for an event. I think these would be perfect for any event.
These are good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies with a light strawberry buttercream filling, made with fresh strawberries.

Happy Valentine's Day
Everyone has different ideas of how to spend a Valentine's Day with their loved ones. However, I don't think it's a stretch of the imagination to think that one way to end the perfect Valentine's Day is to enjoy some delicious chocolate dipped strawberries in front of a fire.
I combined those three elements of chocolate, strawberries, and fire into one dessert. This is a chocolate cupcake, topped off by a chocolate buttercream and a strawberry that I flambéd.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
